“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.”- Buddy the Elf
I think we can all agree with Buddy, right? I am going to spread some Christmas cheer this July because I really love the movie Elf, and I also wanted a reason to post some pretty pictures. Hold the eye rolling and let me explain before you say “Michelle, stop rushing my summer away!” Trust me when I say I am the first one to complain when the temperature drops to a balmy 68 degrees. I adore summer and everything that accompanies it. Cook outs, lightening bugs, fresh raspberry pie and endless trips to the dari are my reasons for loving summer.
Recently I have been in a festive mood and I even have plans to watch Christmas movies for a whole weekend. I think this has to do with a store that’s located in Berlin, Ohio which is loaded with wall to wall Christmas decorations. As soon as you enter the door you are transported into a winter wonderland. Their Christmas trees are so dazzling! I saw a super cute pink tree that I would actually leave up all year and adorn it with pretties. Not the usual pretties of red bulbs and silver tinsel but with all hand carved ornaments that would be mini replicas of all my favorite books. A girl can dream, can’t she?
I am sure when December rolls around I will be complaining about all the snow and how cold I am but for now I will put that in the back of my mind. When the snow puppies start to fall, I will probably be dreaming of hanging out on a beach sipping a frozen beverage. That’s just how I am. I suppose I need to stop my back and forth but when you live in Ohio that’s what you do. Hopefully these pictures will spread a little Christmas cheer even if we are in the thick of summer. Just pretend you are roasting chestnuts by an open fire or find something peppermint to munch on. Enjoy the rest of your summer and Merry Christmas in July!
I say enter at your own risk . . . you will buy many beautiful things.
Here is what the inside of Tis the Season looks like. There is so much to see that I recommend spending at least a couple of hours walking around so you don’t miss a thing.
One word. Fabulous. Look how big those gold bulbs are!
Over on my blog, Destination Amish, I am celebrating with a Christmas in July giveaway. Drop by and enter if you like!
